Another Special Day
Don’t worry, this post has got nothing to do with the “Special day trilogy”. This is a separate post so yah, no shit. Maybe got a bit, but that’s limited to me only. You see, this was supposed to be up on the 11th, Sunday, but after I caught the flu (and all its relatives) and played my demoralizing moral boosting match on Saturday, I totally wasted my Sunday, away feeling full of shit. Completed the post on 13th, Tuesday, but somehow my ISP don't like blogger and i can't post it. Singnet sucks, big time.
Just in case none of you realize, our blog is one year old liao. Special right? Think I’ll buy a cake and eat it sometime this week. Anyway, since it’s so close to V-day, might as well lump the 2 topics together into 1 post, even though I don’t think V-day is really that special. I risk the wrath of all female species (and some males) saying this, but V-day doesn’t deserve all the hype it receives.
Is it really that special? Not really. See, if you have a special someone in your life, everyday that you are together is a special day. Does V-day make it any more special? No it doesn’t. If you are single, is V-day meaningful to you? Is it a special day to you? Maybe it is special, specially lonely and devastating to see all the couples parading hand in hand.
So is V-day a “special day”? I think it’s about as special as Jose Morinho is the “special one”. Wait… Does he have anything to do with V-day? No…not really, some things really don’t mix. Just like people should never ever mix love and religion together. See, one is between 2 people with special feelings for one another and the other is between the individual and God/Deities, or whoever you choose to worship. One is a transitory sense of bittersweet happiness; the other is eternal salvation. They don’t mix, don’t ever try to mix them together. Period.
Hmm, I actually managed to mix these 2 words together in a single para… not bad, but mama always said I was a good mixer. That’s one of the reasons why I major in chemistry. You know, mix-mix, shake-shake… BOOM! Of course, of all the things I said here, I stand corrected, but if you wanna correct me, you better stone me with some cold, hard truth. Correct until proven otherwise.
